Landscape Construction/General Labor

Responsibilities include a variety of job tasks including physical labor in order to manage the timely completion of landscape maintenance and construction projects. Has the ability and know-how to use both handheld and powered tools and equipment. Tasks include but are not limited to hand work in trenches, ditches, excavation sites, landscape installations, lawn installations, and mixing, pouring and moving concrete, mortar or other cementitious products as instructed. Has the ability to lift, carry, walk, stand, crouch, kneel, carry out strenuous physical tasks for prolonged periods of time and able to physically work shifts greater than 8 hours. (Seasonal work often requires shifts of 10-12 hours) Has capacity to work outdoors in various conditions including heat, humidity, rain, dust, bugs, noise, mud, snow and cold, and is prepared with proper attire including sunscreen, bug repellent, lunch, snacks and drinks for the duration of their shift.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Preference for one year of working experience in landscape, construction, or other related field
  • Valid driver’s license including current copy of driving abstract; ability to drive truck/trailer combination
  • Willing to work flexible hours including occasional out of town work
  • Must be able to pass a drug test
  • Must own a vehicle and have access to it regularly
